1. Who We Are

Togethrly ("we", "us", or "our") operates a WhatsApp-based quiz platform that lets people play interactive quiz packs with their partners, friends, and family. We also provide a creator economy — allowing individuals to publish quiz packs and earn revenue from sales. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with our platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our service:

a) From Players (WhatsApp users)

  • Phone number — shared automatically when you message our WhatsApp bot. This is your unique identifier on our platform.
  • Quiz answers and responses — the answers you submit during a quiz session.
  • Session data — your progress, current question, and completion status to enable the quiz experience.
  • Payment information — if you purchase a paid pack, your transaction is processed by Razorpay. We receive only the confirmation of successful payment; we do not store your card or UPI credentials.

b) From Creators (dashboard users)

  • Profile information — display name, bio, and profile photo you choose to add.
  • Username — a unique handle for your public profile URL.
  • Bank and UPI details — account number, IFSC, account holder name, and UPI ID, used solely to process withdrawal payouts to you.
  • Pack content — titles, questions, descriptions, thumbnails, and pricing you create.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver the quiz experience — matching your answers with your partner's, generating results, and sending reports via WhatsApp.
  • To process payments for paid packs and route earnings to creators.
  • To maintain your session so you can pause and resume a quiz.
  • To generate and display your public creator profile (only for creators who set a username).
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate message processing.
  • To improve our platform based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.

4. WhatsApp & Meta

Our service operates through the WhatsApp Business Cloud API provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you message our bot, your messages are processed by Meta's infrastructure in accordance with their WhatsApp Privacy Policy. We receive your phone number and message content from Meta to respond to you. We do not have access to your WhatsApp contacts, profile picture, or any other WhatsApp data.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres located in Mumbai, India (ap-south-1 region). We use industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Creator bank details are stored with restricted access and used only for processing approved withdrawal requests.

Session data and quiz answers are retained for as long as necessary to provide results and support. Creator profile and earnings data are retained for the duration of your account and for up to 5 years after account closure to comply with applicable financial regulations.

6. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Razorpay — for payment processing. Subject to their Privacy Policy.
  • AWS — for infrastructure and data storage.
  • Meta / WhatsApp — to deliver messages to you via their API.
  • Your quiz partner — when a session is complete, aggregated results (not raw answers) may be shared with all participants in that session.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — update inaccurate information via your creator dashboard or by contacting us.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data. Note that financial records may be retained as required by law.
  • Opt-out — stop using the WhatsApp bot at any time by simply not messaging it.

To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our platform, please contact us and we will delete the data promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
